The Lookout House at Huelo Point Lookout on Maui, Hawaii

Our Lookout House is a beautiful two story home, with sweeping views of the ocean along the cliffs to Hana and then back inland right up to the 10,000 foot summit of Haleakala.

Upstairs (Ocean Lookout), there is a master bedroom with king size bed, full kitchen & dining room and beautiful pentagonal glass lounge room with panoramic ocean and Haleakala views. After it has rained you can even see a huge waterfall pouring over the cliffs into the ocean a few miles away! The glass lounge room has a large day bed in it, should you feel like waking up to sunrise over the ocean. Over the master bedroom there is also a loft - ideal for extra sleeping accommodation for kids.

Decks wrap around most of the house, so it's easy to find that perfect place to laze in a hammock on a quiet afternoon, or to eat breakfast in the sun. There is another large protected back deck with a view over the swimming pool, tropical gardens and our delightful waterfall and koi pond.

The "Lookout House" (which includes "Ocean Lookout" and "Sunrise Lookout") is perfect for families or two couples travelling together. "Ocean Lookout," a cosy, more intimate space, is ideal for one couple.

The spacious downstairs suite, (Sunrise Lookout), has 2 private entrances. The large bedroom (king size bed) has spectacular views -- you can eat home grown papayas while watching the waves crash on Kaenae peninsula and Hana without even getting out of bed. On one side the bedroom opens out onto a large covered deck, and on the other side there are French doors to a private lanai and hot tub ... a special place for sunsets drinks and Kona coffee sunrises.

The large bathroom has an elegant cobalt blue tiled bath tub big enough for two - perfect for a candle-lit soak ...looking out on to its own tropical garden with tranquil lotus pond and waterfalls. Or swim in our new free form jungle swimming pool. Children are welcome, but must be "swim safe" as neither our pool nor our outdoor hot tub are enclosed.
