The area you will be staying is known as Huelo, located on Maui's rugged North Shore.

Driving time between Kahului airport and Huelo is about 30-40 minutes, depending on how you drive and who you are following. The drive is quite stunning - you'll be passing lush jungles, ocean views, swaying cane fields and the world famous Ho'okipa Beach where the international windsurfing competitions are held. Just before that is the renowned Mama's Fish House. (One of the best ocean front restaurants on the island.)
