This was once an old fisherman's cottage and then a barn. Now
completely renovated, it nestles amongst coconut palms, on its own
acre of land, and looks out through greenery to views on all sides,
rolling pastures, the ocean... and right up through "the Gap"
to the summit of Haleakala. It even has its own palm-lined circular
driveway and you can often pick your own bananas and macadamia nuts
a few feet from your front door.
Upstairs is a spacious but cozy bedroom with king bed . .
. a perfect "artist's retreat" with lush garden views
of Haleakala to the south. Downstairs is a sitting room/ lounge and
glass solarium and a small deck extending into the garden. The
bathroom is a gem, with fully restored Victorian bathtub and
glass all around... (don't worry - you're surrounded by nature's shower
curtain of giant bamboos & Japanese umbrellas). Take an outdoor
shower in our new custom-tiled nature shower among the palms or swim
in our new 44 foot free form jungle swimming pool...or laze in your
own private hot tub under the stars. There are full laundry facilities available and
there is a foldout sleeper sofa downstairs. Tropical cooking
outside under the covered lanai. . . full-sized refrigerator etc inside.
